The 2020 IPSL Virtual Summer School “Climate Change: Challenges and Issues for the Earth Sciences”will include interdisciplinary webinars and online discussions on the many components of the climate system and its complex interactions with our society. This School will also provide a taste of studying in the Paris area.

Some of the themes addressed are:    

• The Climate System: a few decades that changed many things
• New Trends in Climate Modeling: anticipating the future
• Impacts and feedbacks of marine biogeochemistry and diversity
• Exploring Earth observing systems
• The solar system: the sister planets of the Earth
• Recent news from past climate
